Last But Not Least

Cumanya kami tak sempat nak tunggu symphony of night sebab malam tu hujan, tak sanggup tengok anak-anak berhujan maka kami setuju untuk tidak menyaksikan symphony of night.

Hong Kong Part 3

 Hong Kong Museum of Art

Our Journey continue the next day.   The weather is not very kind to us today.  It rains pretty heavy. We plan to go to the PEAK and if rain we may not be able to enjoy much.  The true spirit of travelers lets not make this spoil our time.  We do it in rainy way then. We heading to Hong Kong Museum of Art; located at Salisbury Road, Tsim Sha Tsui. This is a must activity to our family.  This large art museum is situated right on the Harbour's edge, and its entirely possible that you sitting on the comfortable sofas and staring across the bay at Hong Kong Island.  The classic painting display up stairs are really interesting.

We are crossing Hong Kong Island today. by Star Ferry.  Stop at Masjid Ammar in Wan Chai to perform a prayer and had our lunch at Islamic Centre Canteen.  The Dim sum was superb but the nasi goreng only so-so.  The food is certified halal by the Islamic community Fund of Hong Kong. No picture is taken here.

The Peak

Take a good look at the Bank of China and ITC buildings.  So cool and it was surrounded by all the famous boutique all over.  Another interesting place to go is the Peak.  You can go up ther using the Tram or the bus.  It was cool and beautiful but when we where there, time was not on our side, it was all rainy day.  But the ride via tram was super duper coll.  We get down and stroll along the road moving  the Star Ferry Pier. If you want to buy a souvenir, you can shop at The Peak Market.

Tai Yuen Street

We promised to Hadif that he can choose what ever toys that he want at Tai Yuen Street @ Wan Chai.  .If you are heading there via the MTR, you will need to take the A3 exit from the Wan Chai MTR station.  Once out, you will just need to cross Johnston Street in front of you and you should be able to locate the following signpost at the start of one end of Tai Yuen Street. This is heaven for kids who love toys like Abang Hadif and for parents who love the low and cheaper price like Babah and Mama hahahaha.

   Ladies Market in Mongkok

Ladies Market

It may look like you are in for a great time of shopping but when you really start, you will find that the items are all the same.  They have everything from shoes to clothes, but for me, this place is better for local sourvenirs such as fridge magnet, I Love Hong Kong shirts and street signs.  Prices are set high so do bargain.  items for sale are cheap knock-offs and expensive considering their quality. Not recommended if you're looking for branded goods.  It is a place to come and test your bargaining skills but beware of the rude seller mulut busuk okeh.

cucu Bruce Lee

Avenue of Star, Hong Kong

  • The Avenue of Stars is basically a sidewalk on the shore of Hong Kong's Victoria Bay that is modeled after the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The sidewalk and pedestrian area has the handprints and signatures of famous Hong Kong actors but I recognized only Jackie Chan and Bruce Lee.

Hong Kong Part 2

Ngong Ping 360, Lantau Island

We had a lovely day out at Lantau Island.  Take the MTR to Tung Chung Station.  Even on Friday, there was a queue for the cable car.  Yes, the area's covered from the sun and has fans but does get hot.   Hubby opted for the glass-bottomed cable car or Crystal Cable Car as they market it, which costs a bit more than normal one.  The cable car ride is extremely scenic and great experience to be enjoyed by any age of group even Ahmad Muhammad Kauthar :)  It is a 30 minutes journey and will goes across 5 peak.  You can see the dam and airport very clear from up above and  it is cool and you can see the largest sitting Buddha in Asia. Visit NGONG PING for detail.

We opted to get down with this Cristal Cable Car and CITYGATE FACTORY OUTLET  is only a few steps from the station.  But CityGate Factory outlet saw me came back empty handed. I have decided at this point not to buy the bag, same goes to hubby. Point to note, branded bags are on sale but price after sale are just the same as retail price in Malaysia. Not worth it, but sempat sambar gown for Raisa at Kingkow and t-shirt and romper for Kauthar at Petit factory outlet.

The one and only photo cover the whole families, travel with kids..what do you expect? hahaha ambil gambar pun guna telefon bimbit...

Hong Kong Disneyland

Abang Hadif, apple of my heart

It is a great place.  When we arrived, we stayed until it closed to withnes the firework  show.  It goes around everyday starting at 7.30 p.m.  The park are bigger than Universal Studio Singapore I guess. Hadif enjoy himself at Tomorrowland.  Seriously it was so much fun.

One of the best parts about visiting Disneyland are those moments when you can get closed to Disney character or they stops to give your kids a high-five.  Hadif is happy to meet Chip and Dale but Raisa totally not.  Hahahaha.  She refused to take a picture with them.  Looks like brutal but dalam hati ada taman ini budak. While Hadif and Babah enjoy their space ride, one of local people come to me and asked "Are you from Dubai?" hahahah Am I looking like "Mek Arab"? Oh My English! hahahaa. "No, am from Malaysia!" Hampeh ok, this Hong Kong people does not know abou Malaysia, but she know about Singapore... tsk..tks..tsk... When I told her I come Malaysia, she said "I thought you're from Dubai"  wah..mak bajet mak arab cik bunga oii..hahahah

The Lion King show are really awesome.  Hadif and Raisa enjoy the show, believe me, their gaping mouth, me either. If there's a reason to go back to Hong Kong, it must be Disneyland for me..heheehe.  For any info, can visit DISNEYLAND.

After settle down with Raisa's tantrum, we heading to hotel. Having a late dinner and tonight Raisa fall asleep under dining table.  Letih sangat la tu, sampai pengsan!

Hong Kong Part 1

I am not so good in blogging about travel, but for this trip I've promised to some of friend that will jot down some tips and put some photo to "bakar semangat' for them to visit Hong Kong. I am writing this based on my personal opinion and its all based on my observation. And also please mind of my english... Oh My English!

Before we left for the trip, my travel partner mestilah laki mak did very well in preparation of information; of course with the heaven of internet overload. But I told hubby, my research are very conservative but who know it may help when his gadget cannot be used when we reach Hong Kong...so my paper hikmat will help hahahha. Thank you to Pencerita Maya and Cik Bunga  who helped us with all the tips. :)

 * HKD100 is about RM40 when we were there, please do your own conversation.

Travel with 2 infants and 1 toddler is not easy.  When you travel with kids or being away from home abroad, ones learn to appreciate more about simple basic. We allocated 1/4 or may be 1/2 portion with food stuff.  You name it, we bought along the serunding, Instant rice,  biscuits, vono mushrooms soup, maggie, All 3 in 1 of Milo, Vico, Neslo too.  Don't forget to carry around Taharah soup so you can samak any culteries and utensils before using it.
The instant rice, introduce by Cik Bunga

We stayed at Chi Residences at Jordan.  Very closed to MTR station and I super duper like it.  How to move in with 2 infants on the go? and of course 1 dramatic boy in the group.  But Alhamdulillah, it run with no hiccups at all.  But I give Hong Kong a big thumb up for its efficient and effective public transportation services.  We have tried the MTR, bus, taxi and also ferry.  None disappoint us at all.

MTR Station

model tak berbayar: taken by hubs, abis la jenuh nak minta maaf kat akak ni

The ferry is a great ride, tak mabuk at all. Just ensure you get your jetty ride.

Just to remind, you need to fold for the stroller when you enter the bus.  So be ready.  I would recommend you to buy octopus card, something like Touch N go if you want to avoid the hassle to get ready with money every time you want to get onto their public transport.  It linked to all busess, MTR and Star Ferry also.  You can always top up and when you want to go back, you can get your deposit refund.
The taxi at the back, please ignore the models..hahahah

The cab was spacious.  The cab is old but very well maintained, clean and all with air condition. No smelly stuffs and all. That's why i said its great.

The escalator at the MTR is very steep and very fast, so be ready and always hold the rail.  Ensure you  grip it nicely and hold your kids very dear.

The interchange station is within the line itself. The MTR runs in the same railway track. Bukan like KL where you have to exit go out and get into another station. Very easy. So no worry of kena hujan panas and all. Just be alert where you should change your line.

train dia panjang giller bukan 4 gerabak ajer macam LRT and goes very fast ala2 ERL. Memang mengujakan.

OK, to be continued more later. I shall blog about the food and the places of interests.

Selamanya...Harimau Malaya

anak bujang saya ni ikut babah dia  pergi menonton perlawanan bola sepak Malaysia Vs Singapura.  Walaupun tak pernah jemu berkunjung ke Singapura, tapi saya tetap sokong Malaysia tau.  Selamanya Harimau Malaya.  Tengoklah Abang Hadif tu, walaupun penat ke sekolah pagi dan petang, tapi bila cakap nak ajak pi tengok bola seronoknya bukan main.  Ada dia cakap babah dia lambung bola macam Safee Sali? hahahahaa

Happy 3 months Kauthar!

Lagi 2 hari

Motivasi Jumaat

Biarkan hari-hari itu melakukan apa saja,
Bertenanglah bila qada menjatuhkan hukuman,
Jangan tersentak dengan peristiwa duka malam hari,
Peristiwa di dunia ini sebenarnya tidak lama.

~ Imam Shafie

Hidup ini penuh dengan dugaan, Tak ikut?
Penakut. Kalau ikut? eeii..eii..sukanya dia!!
